CPOA, B-Unit Meeting Minutes

Attending:
January Slattery, Renee Anderson, Cheryl Marden, Chellie Finkbiner, Jaclyn Kaps, Lei Upton, Daphanie Burnham, Julie Ceccato, Anita Noriega, Sue Bennett, Mike Frakes, Ed Nelson, and Denise Domingues.

Working Dispatch:
Traci Williams, Melissa J-Maxey, and Sheri Marshall

New Union Recognition:
Steve gave us direction and presented us with bylaws and a recognition petition. The sworn unit has presented their petition and we need to move quickly as to not be left without representation.

Various names for our unit were discussed. One was selected. However, after further consideration, the Board has decided to shorten the name to CPSA, Chico Public Safety Association. If anyone has a real problem with the name selection, please let us know right away. Steve is adding the name to the bylaws.

An Interim Board was selected as follows:

Cheryl Marden - President
Renee Anderson - Vice President
Julie Ceccato - Secretary/Treasurer
Cheryl Howard - Board Member at Large
Sue Bennett - Board Member at Large

Openers:
The negotiation team is meeting on Nov 17, at 1330 hours with the City. The two re-openers going to the City are as follows:

Hour per hour for holiday pay. (10 hours to Holiday Time Bank)
Motion made by Renee Anderson, second by Julie Ceccato. Unanimous approval.

Night shift differential, Swing 5%, Graveyard 7.5%
Motion made by Renee Anderson, second by January Slattery. Unanimous approval.

Board Meeting:
Board members have set a meeting for Nov 19th at 1500 hours. Location TBA (somewhere at the PD). All are invited.
